Robert Holden's tip ...
Be still and know God. Be
still and know who you are. Be still and know what is true. Be still and know what is success. Be
still and know what is joy. Be still and know how to listen. Be still and know how to receive. Be
still and know how to love. Be still and know. I would add, simply, Be Still. Anissa

A Tip from Leonardo da Vinci
Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your
judgment will be surer; since to remain constantly
at work will cause you to lose power of judgment ... Go some distance away because the work appears smaller, and more of it can be taken in at a glance, and lack of harmony or proportion is more readily seen. To me, it's all about harmony. How's the harmony in your life? Anissa

Build Your Resilience
Resilience, decisiveness, adaptability — in these trying and rapidly changing
times, leaders need these skills more than ever. The good news is that if these skills are not already in your leadership
toolbox, you can develop them by managing your thoughts, actions, and behaviors. Here are a few simple things you can do right now: - Think
positively. Be hopeful and optimistic. Focus on what you want, not what you fear you will lose.
- Let go. Accept that change is going to happen with or without you. Know
what is beyond your control.
- Take decisive action.
Tackle problems, don't avoid them.
- Take a long-term
perspective. Don't get hung up on a specific event or a day on the market.
I am a firm believer in thinking and believing positively. It is a great first start to moving forward
instead of dwelling in the past, the unknown, or in the "what if's." How are you doing? Let me know, Anissa

Leadership Development Matters, Now More Than Ever
In Challenging Times, Leadership Skills and
Leader Development Matter
Workforce Management (02/09) Emery, James; Sitkin, Sim; Siang, Sanyin
According to a recent Duke Executive Leadership Survey, ethical and inspirational
leadership is tied to organizational performance, and in these harsh economic times, optimizing performance is essential.
Inspirational leaders are those who engage workers in the organization's strategy and encourage employees to improve
upon their own goals, while ethical leaders are those who promote responsibility for all members of the organization. Among
the skills essential in a viable leader are the ability to foster honesty, act with genuineness, accurately measure competition
and generate trust among all partners. Leaders must place long-term organizational interests above personal gain because
it leads to long-term stability and prosperity for organizations, according to researchers. Even in the midst of a recession,
organizations should evaluate the performance of leaders and ensure training is available to help them hone their skills.
Researchers note that more senior managers are willing to participate in mentoring and coaching programs than in internal
or external training programs. The key word is participate. Are you participating in a mentoring or coaching program
that allows you to look into the mirror with a supportive, gently challenging person who helps you take those steps to enhance
your leadership skill for the future? If not, contact me! Anissa

Too popular not to offer this again ...
As many of you have already started to face, or are beginning
to face, economic changes impacting your life. I want to help. I don't believe that coaching should be a resource
only for those in established organizations or for those who are already making millions and millions a year (who are
those people). If you have ever researched coaching for your own needs, you know that individuals pay an average
of $150/hour and up, out of their own pocket, to have a coach working with them toward greater personal and professional success.
I believe
we all deserve the opportunity to live our best life and gain the most from each day that we can. Your need may involve
how to give performance feedback to great employees, or determining if this is the right time to make a career shift, or maybe
you are just wondering if this is all there is in life and you need to talk out your options before you make any changes.
For all these reasons, and many more, I would like to help. I am providing my services via 2 coaching package options:
$45 per 30 minute coaching sessions, or $80 for 60 minute coaching sessions Some see
this as their "coaching bank". For example, they purchase $400 worth of coaching sessions that they can use in any
way they want (30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes, 2 hours) for whenever they need (weekly, biweekly, monthly, ad-hoc, weekends).
You can select
either and for the life of our coaching relationship, this will always be your rate. That's right, your rate will
be locked in for life! From my perspective, I can't partner with you if we aren't working together. So, let's
start working together! I hope to hear from you soon! Give me a call (402.408.6840), email me or fill out an inquiry. Talk soon! Anissa

Can Coaching Help Your Business?
Though business are currently seeking to cut costs, investing in leadership
development can bring about a positive impact on an organization in a time when good leadership is particularly needed. Effective
leadership coaches can work with company leaders to develop success metrics, polish leadership styles, and help with difficult
organizational decisions in a one-on-one coaching model. New-to-the-company
staff leaders can also benefit from coaching. A staff leader can use the coach to help him clarify new boss expectations,
build peer and cross functional relationships, and assess what has worked in the past that can be integrated into the new
environment. When selecting coaches, particular attention should be paid to their industry experience, education, and certifications.
In the economic times we are in right now, wouldn't you
like to have as much competitive advantage as you could within your organization? I would like to help, contact me!
